PGM Sources of Strength and EPIC classes wrapped up an incredible year with a fun-filled bowling trip to The Spot at Moody Air Force Base! 🎳 Students enjoyed friendly competition, games, and pizza while connecting with service men and women on their lunch break. A huge thank you to SOS for spreading hope, help, and strength to all students at The Grove once again this year. Your dedication makes a real difference! ❤️

How can we increase the resilience of our power grid to reduce storm-related power outages? After Hurricane Helene, 8th grade set out to tackle this question by researching possibilities, analyzing cost-effectiveness, and learning more about circuits and electromagnets. Last week, they shared their reflections on the entire process with community partners and school staff. 💡🌀🔌 #STEM

8th grade science students enjoyed the opportunity to interact with software engineer Kevin Rabsatt on Monday! They learned about his career and gained answers to many thoughtful questions. Thank you, Mr. Rabsatt, for taking the time to host a Q & A session for our students! 💻 #STEM #CommunityPartners

7th grade continued their PBL investigation into slowing the spread of invasive species when the Georgia Department of Natural Resources came to shock the pond at The Grove last week! Students helped measure the length and weight of bass, bullhead catfish, and sunfish to see if they were healthy. They learned that excess vegetation in the pond (including invasives they previously researched like alligator weed and water hyacinth) is preventing fish from thriving and discussed possible ways to combat the problem. 🐟💧🌿 #STEM #CommunityPartnerships #ProblemBasedLearning #LifeScience
