As we honor and reflect on Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, we hope all of our Viking families enjoyed the holiday.
In light of Winter Storm Demi, we want to share the following updates:
Tuesday, January 21st: Schools will operate on a normal schedule. Based on current forecasts and consultation with Lowndes EMA and other officials, there are no anticipated weather-related threats during school hours.
After-School Activities: All after-school programs, including Prime Time, will end by 5:00 PM. The scheduled Lowndes vs. Colquitt basketball game is postponed.
Wednesday, January 22nd: Out of an abundance of caution regarding potential ice and snow, all Lowndes County Schools and system offices will be closed on Wednesday.
The safety of our students, staff, and community is always our highest priority. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
