We can’t wait to welcome our Vikings back for a great school year! ✏️

Mr. Curtis is a dedicated educational leader with a passion for transformational leadership, student achievement, and building strong school-community partnerships. As a proud alumnus of Lowndes County Schools, he returns to the Viking community after previously serving at Hahira Middle School as a sixth-grade teacher, where he built strong relationships with students, families, and staff while fostering academic growth and student success.
During his time at Hahira Middle School, Mr. Curtis served as Head Coach for wrestling, tennis, track, and sixth-grade football. He also served as Assistant Coach and Defensive Coordinator for the seventh- and eighth-grade football teams. Beyond athletics, he served as Team Leader and FCA Huddle Leader, mentoring students academically, athletically, and personally while promoting leadership, teamwork, and character development.
Most recently, Mr. Curtis served as Principal and Director of Community Christian Academy in Adel, Georgia, where he provided instructional leadership, managed daily operations, strengthened school culture, and championed academic excellence. His work focused heavily on student-centered instruction, teacher development, school improvement initiatives, and cultivating a safe and engaging learning environment for all learners.
Mr. Curtis holds a Master’s degree in Special Education from Valdosta State University, a Specialist degree in Middle Grades Education from Georgia Southwestern State University, and a Tier I Educational Leadership Certification from the University of North Georgia.
With experience as a teacher, coach, mentor, administrator, and public speaker, Mr. Curtis is recognized for his ability to build positive relationships, lead collaboratively, and create systems that support student achievement and organizational growth. His leadership philosophy is grounded in empathy, accountability, innovation, and data-driven decision-making, with a strong emphasis on empowering both students and educators to reach their fullest potential.
We are excited to welcome Mr. Curtis to the CES family and look forward to the impact he will make within our school and community!

Attention CES Families,
Today’s students are growing up in a technology-driven world, and keeping up with it all can feel overwhelming. Parent ProTech is here to help by providing an easy-to-use platform that supports parents in understanding the technology our children use every day—social media, gaming, devices, and more.
Lowndes County Schools, through the Georgia Department of Education, have partnered with Parent ProTech to help equip families, encourage safer digital habits, and strengthen the connection between school and home.
Parents can access this resource by creating a free account on the Parent ProTech site.
